Fun Quizzes Announced

Posted in English News

EQC will fill your days in Estonia but we have taken care of the nights as well. We are announcing the full program of unofficial fun quizzes.

On Thursday there are quizzes both in Tallinn and Tartu.
The Tallinn event will be part of the regular Drink Baar pub quiz series, spiced up with some best-of questions from Estonian quizzes. The quiz will start at 8pm. The venue is: https://www.facebook.com/Drinkbaarandgrill

All Tartu quizzes will take at the city centre cafe called Nälg (https://www.facebook.com/kohvikNALG?fref=ts) which is some 10-15 minutes walk from the venue and very close to the extra hotels.
On Thursday we will start at 6pm with a best-of selection from Estonian quizzes. At 8pm this is followed by their weekly very popular music quiz. We have booked some tables for those of us who wish to stay for the music quiz.

Friday will see the music quiz by the van Maris bothers which already has its firm place in the EQC unofficial program. The quiz will start at 10.30pm. NB! Quiz cancelled, replacement TBA.

On Saturday we are entertained by the quiz of Johan vander Elst. It will start at 11pm. NB! Quiz cancelled, replacement TBA.

For those remaining a bit longer in Tartu we offer two more quizzes on Sunday. First, at 6pm Paul Bailey will bring us questions from the premier North American quizzing event, the World Trivia Night. It is followed by a fun quiz presented by the young generation of Estonian quiz masters.

EQC Grants go to Latvia, Ireland and Portugal

Posted in English News

We are happy to announce that the winners of the EQC grants have been selected. We offered three grants to representatives of countries with no or very little previous EQC experience with the aim to encourage international quizzing. We received a number of excellent applications and selected three winners: Ireland (John Nolan), Latvia (Uldis Apsalons) and Portugal (Paulo Martins). Congratulations! We hope the involvement with EQC will start of a new quizzing era in these countries.

Welcome!
